Hali had the moment in Game 1 with the game winning shot to give Indiana their first lead with just 0.3 seconds left on the clock. However, the rest of his impact was a bit underwhelming.
He had just 6 assists in 13 potentials in Game 1 despite making 89 passes which is 13 more than his full Playoff average. The passes he made were not ones that were setting up his teammates to score from his assists.
OKC swarmed him and forced the ball out of his hands and into his teammates which was extremely effective with Indiana turning the ball over 24 times. Those individual results are buried a bit because Indiana stole the victory, but the overall defensive scheme was effective.
Couple those potentials with Indiana likely regressing from beyond the arc and I’ll take under 8.5 dimes for Hali.

No reason to stop playing. Only 13 potentials in G1, and his assists are always lower in losses. Indy started playing more iso late too.
M.Turner o1.5 TOs-135

6 TOs G1, moving screens and getting ripped with lots of time on the ball against all those swiping hands
A.Nesmith o1.5 TOs+130

5 TOs G1, way too much dribbling and time on the ball against a defense this good

OKC missed iHart on both sides of the court after benching him as a starter. -17 on the glass, but they also missed his screens and his passing. Thunder averaged 1.64 PPP on 16 poss with iHart as a screener. We’ll see if he starts again but minutes should trend up as an obvious adjustment. He had 9 reb in 17’ and is by far the best rebounder in the series so even 20 minutes makes this bet feel good and anything more put alts and series leader in play.

G1 was a big F Up by Coach Daigs to only play Chet 23 min. This PRA was 27.5 in G1 bc Chet was projected to play 30+ min. In 8 playoff games when Holmgren plays 30+ min, he’s gone over this PRA line in 7 of them #BounceBackSpot
