No Isaiah Hartenstein in the starting lineup!! Cason Wallace come in. Reacting to the news that Haliburton will have no one after the high pick and roll to come off and pick on in drop after what happened in past series: Robinson, Jarrett Allen. Over the last 5 games, Haliburton took 34 of his 37 3-pointers via pull-up, but with more agile and quicker defenders on top of him, that space will be gone and hard to create similar to what OKC did to Edwards as the series ended. #PlayerProps

Shai has been excellent against the Pacers and has been dominant in every aspect of the game. Here, I’m targeting his rebounds. He’s cleared this 5.5 line on all four games against Indiana in the last two seasons with 7, 7, 10, and 9 rebounds. He likely starts off aligned against Nembhard defensively and that should help him as he’d have a size advantage. In a matchup where I expect OKC to control the game, SGA should see plenty of rebounding opportunities. He’s averaging 5.7 rebounds per game during the Playoffs and that’s been against stronger rebounding teams than the Indiana Pacers.

But when Chet is on the court SGA has gone UNDER 21 times and OVER 25 times. A lot of Shai’s unders came during the time Chet was not playing. Hartenstein 7.9 RPG, Holmgren 8.6 RPG in playoffs and Hartenstein 16.0 reb chances in 23.9 min, Holmgren 16.2 reb chances in 29.6 min. Hartenstein led Holmgren 10.7 to 8.0 in regular season with a similar spread when they share floor, and IND/Turner a better matchup for Hartenstein than MIN/Gobert last round, so good chance he's back to his usual mins instead of the 19.6 MPG he played last round. No Pacer with more than 6.9 in regular season and 6.1 in playoffs. Would play to +200

NBA Finals. Game 1. Loud City. Thunder are 43-7 at home – 8-1 in playoffs, winning by double digits. Finals debut at Paycom hits different. 106.0 DRTG at home, just 106 PPG allowed, 10.4 TOs forced. March 29? OKC smoked IND by 21. This crowd overwhelms. Best team in basketball – 80-18, +12.5 net rating, elite on both ends. OKC swept IND in reg season, Shai dropped 33 last time out. Haliburton had 18, got clamped. Finals pressure + Dort/Jalen’s defense = nightmare matchup for IND’s guards in loud territory. IND’s defense isn’t Finals-ready – 114.8 DRTG. OKC puts up 119.9, spreads the floor with Chet/Jalen. If Shai draws doubles, others eat. Pacers rely on Haliburton + Siakam. If they stall, it’s over early. Thunder too deep, too locked in.

Fading Hali assists is one of my strongest reads of the series. OKC just has so many tough defenders to throw at him and won’t let him break them down with his passing bc of it. Hali only 5.5 apg on 11.5 potentials vs OKC, both his lowest of any opponent and over 10 fewer assist points created, which is consistent with what OKC did to Jokic Ant Ja in playoff series. This feels much more like a 6-7 apg Hali series, maybe not even ahead of Nembhard on his own team and likely behind SGA especially if OKC wins the series comfortably.
S.Gilgeous-Alexander o5.5 Rebs-114

Just playing a series angle early, fading iHart minutes and Turner reb, should mean a smaller series and more boards for guys like SGA who has gone from 5.3 to 6.3 rpg in last 2 playoffs from regular season. SGA has 10-7-7 reb vs Indy last 2 years, 8.0 rpg on 65%.
