The model is giving us this one at RotoGrinders and I believe there is a narrative that also supports that there is an edge here. Jordan Love returns and one can imagine a game plan that is a recognizable cousin to that which they have used in recent weeks. They have the luxury of a Josh Jacobs and solid offensive line to lean on, and I expect them to do that with enough success to get past this benchmark.

They’re 2nd this season. That means tons of underneath targets (ex. Diggs in Week 3). Reed’s 6.8 aDOT is well below Watson/Doubs/Wicks. He’s the underneath option.

Despite converting just 5-of-14 third downs, this is an area they can clean up against a Vikings defense ranked in the middle of the league. Minnesota’s defense hasn’t faced a well-balanced attack like Green Bay’s yet this season. Their victory over Houston was more about capitalizing on Texans’ mistakes than outright dominance, and the Packers, playing at home, will present a far more efficient and less mistake-prone opponent. Green Bay’s defense, ranked among the top third of the league in takeaways, should provide enough disruption to keep Minnesota from settling into a rhythm offensively.
