Good buy-low spot on Downs who saw only 3 targets on 17 routes in Week 1, especially with all the hype around rookie TE Tyler Warren IND played with a leading game script on 65 of 73 plays, an absurd rate that's not likely to continue, meaning Downs' snap rate should bounce back well over the 49% rate he had in Week 1, closer to to 60%, or even higher as this game should be much closer than Indy's blowout win of Miami With stud CB Pat Surtain shadowing top WR Michael Pittman, there's reports that Warren will indeed be the focus of this Colts pass game Could be coachspeak/misdirection Even if true, Broncos get one of the highest pressure rates in the NFL since start of last year, and had highest rate in Week 1 While not great, Daniel Jones is still a much better passer than Anthony Richardson is under pressure, with a completion percentage more than 10% better than Richardson while under pressure since he entered the league Jones also throws to his first read less than Richardson, especially under pressure, meaning he'll spread it around more than focus on that first read, which should direct targets away from Warren a bit more. Last year Downs had 8 targets against DEN, but only 3 receptions thanks to Richardson's inaccuracy. We could expect similar volume as Jones spreads it around a bit more away from his first read (Pittman and Warren led Week 1 first read rates for IND), especially with the Pittman/Surtain shadow situation Not a monster edge, so just betting 1u to win 0.8u at B365. DK is also playable at -130.
