Jeremiah looks to step up in the big stage once again, this time, in his first Big 10 Championship. Smith this season has gone over this number in 7/11 games overall, averaging 6.5 per game. When he runs 20+ routes, he is over in 7/9 games, averaging 8.8 targets per game. He will now faces Indiana in the battle between the undefeateds, and #1 and #2 in the nation. Opposing WRs have been able to find success against this defense most of the season. Smith will be finding his spots all game long and I love this spot for him to rack up the grabs. Indiana’s run defense is very elite, ranking top 5 in the nation in success rate, stuff rate, and line yards on the season. Expecting the OSU offense to lean on Julian Sayin and the passing game a lot more than usual in this one. Indiana also runs a ton of zone coverage. Jeremiah feasts against zone and is OSU’s best WR by far against it, with a 0.32 TPRR against zone coverage on the year. Last season, in the postseason, we saw Smith have 7+ targets in 3/4 games. Love for this to continue for him tomorrow…
