Sean Zerillo

Sean Zerillo is a senior writer and betting analyst at the Action Network, providing projections for the company’s MLB and MMA verticals using his own proprietary data models.

Sean also provides digital content related to MLB, MMA and horse racing across all platforms. You can find him regularly on Payoff Pitch, Action Network’s MLB betting podcast, as well as The Action Network Podcast, where he’s a leading expert on UFC events, major horse races, and more.

Sean is a regular contributor to Green Dot Daily, Action Network’s daily (M-F) show that airs live at 3 p.m. ET on YouTube.

Sean began betting in 2007 when he first learned about Wong teasers. He previously followed a career path in the legal industry, but re-routed toward sports data and information in 2018.

Sean began contributing to the Action Network in 2019 after working as a baseball video scout for Sports Info Solutions. He previously worked in financial regulatory compliance, including sports at E-TRADE and RBC Capital Markets.

Since joining the Action Network, Sean has become one of the leading voices in the betting spaces of both baseball and MMA. 

Sean’s dedication to his craft is so prevalent that, when Major League Baseball was shut down during the global pandemic in 2020, he began successfully handicapping baseball games in Korea’s professional baseball league, the KBO.

Sean graduated from the University of Miami with degrees in Sports Administration and Philosophy. He later attended law school at Hofstra University and passed the New York State Bar Exam in 2014.
