Good at 21.5 Kyrie has been excellent once again this season and is averaging 23.4 ppg. This has hardly changed even when playing alongside of Luka Doncic - he’s just incredibly consistent. This is a good spot for him against the Timberwolves who do not have an ideal candidate to cover him. Against the Wolves he has averaged 30.1 ppg when playing alongside of Luka. They can’t afford to double Kyrie and he cooks anyone in single coverage. Kyrie dominates from midrange and this is an area Minnesota still struggles from. It’s Christmas Day, and as one of the veterans on the Mavericks, I expect Kyrie to remain unflappable and put up some points in this matchup.
