Both of these teams are in tank mode (especially the Jazz) and this is only 5.5 points? That tells me Vegas thinks they cover. Jazz have won and covered in 3 straight matchups vs the Zards. Two of NBA's worst offenses clash tonight-perfect storm for the under. Wizards average just 104.2 PPG in their last five, shooting an ugly 44.9%. Jazz not much better lately, posting 111.4 PPG. Key scorers sidelined: Poole (21 PPG) and Markkanen (19.3 PPG) both out, further lowering totals. Wizards' offensive woes run deep-last game managed just 90 points vs Miami, shooting 36.9%. Ranked bottom-5 overall (108.1 PPG, 43.9% FG). Jazz, struggling away (7-22 road record), average only 113.3 PPG on road with a poor 46% FG rate. Expect slow pace, inefficient shooting, limited scoring chances. Recent high-scoring trends deceptive here-Wizards under in 4 of last 5, Jazz offense collapsing due to injuries, turnovers (28 last game, poor shot selection. Both teams bottom-tier in shooting efficiency (Wizards 33.3% from deep, Jazz 34.8% away). Game stays comfortably under the total.

Going to just keep playing this. He’s averaging 1.6 assists (over 4.6 assist chances) and 1.4 rebounds (over 3.4 rebound chances) in 19.6 minutes per game with Washington. Puts him at an average of 3 rebounds and assists per game over 8 total chances. Assuming he sees 8 tonight, he’d need to clear 87% of his opportunities. Granted, this is an easy matchup on paper with the Jazz resting all their starters, but that’s still a high number even if he gets an extra chance or two. Jordan Poole is out and Kyshawn George is questionable, so Wizards could be even more thin than usual. Current projections have Smart at 20 minutes with George in, but even if George is out, I don’t know if they push Smart into massive minutes (he hasn’t played more than 22 minutes with Washington). Feels like the books are hedging here with George questionable and Smart potentially playing bigger minutes, but I’ll jump on this now.
