The NASCAR Cup Series visits its third 1.5-mile track of the season in Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 (3 p.m. ET, FOX) at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Atlanta is a unique 1.5-miler with a very old surface that significantly wears tires, similar to Homestead-Miami Speedway.
However, while the top line, also referred to as “running the wall” is the fastest way around the track on old tires at Homestead, “hooking the bottom” is the best way run fast laps on long runs at Atlanta.
And when it comes to hooking the bottom at Atlanta, nobody is better than defending race winner Kevin Harvick. That said, it’s no surprise to see the driver of the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford as the favorite at +600 odds.
Martin Truex Jr. is next at +650, followed by Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin, who are tied with +700 odds. Two-time Cup Series at Atlanta winner Brad Keselowski rounds out the top five at +750 odds.
Here’s the full rundown of odds for the race at Atlanta.
