Bettors Backing New York Jets to Exceed Win Total

Not to get to the playoffs, but to win at least six games.
Of sportsbooks that have posted win totals, the Jets are the unanimous favorite to surpass their posted win total of 5.5 games.
At Caesars, there are 43% more bets on the Jets to hit the over than on any other team. At PointsBet, 87% of bets and 85% of handle is on the over.
“The market is all about the Jets,” said FanDuel spokesman Kevin Hennessy. “It’s not close.”
The Jets were 4-13 last year and have won more than five games just once in the past six years and four times in the past decade.
The Jets are coming off a draft in which they had four of the first 36 picks. They shored up their defense with Cincinnati cornerback Sauce Gardner (No. 4) and Florida State defensive end Jermaine Johnson (No. 26), and added offensive firepower in Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Wilson (No. 10) and Iowa State running back Breece Hall (No. 36).
