It’s a B2B for the Lakers and I think there’s a decent chance LeBron just sits this one out considering he hasn’t played a B2B yet. The key here besides Luka getting even more Usage is it swings his rotation a bit and without LeBron and without Reaves, Luka has essentially played the entire 1Q instead of about a 10 min rotation with a few spikes to 12. When both LeBron and Reaves are out, Luka has scored 13, 12, and 12 and dimes 3, 3, and 4 in the 1Q. It’s been two against the Spurs and one against the Hawks. While I like the full game o8.5 assists line, last time the Lakers got destroyed and even though Luka cleared it, he was done mid-3Q. I think Atlanta will send doubles and try to pressure Luka even more if LeBron sits and just force the ball out of his hands. Atlanta plays at one of the fastest Paces in the league and they allow the sixth-most assists to their opponents so even if LeBron does go tonight Luka can still hit this line.
