The NFL season continues with Sunday Night Football, as the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions face off at Ford Field in Detroit, with kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
Beyond spread and total bets, I'm taking a look at Rams vs. Lions player props — specifically anytime touchdown scorers for my Sunday Night Football props.
Here are my two picks for Sunday night's game between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions.
Gilles Gallant's Rams vs. Lions Sunday Night Football Props
- Demarcus Robinson Anytime Touchdown (+450, DraftKings)
- Jameson Williams Anytime Touchdown (+225, bet365)
I know it may be blasphemy for me to not bet either Cooper Kupp or Puka Nacua, but Robinson has a decent role as the WR3 in this offense.
Robinson came on in the second half of last season when he firmly took over a role in the Rams offense over Tutu Atwell. He caught a touchdown in four of the Rams' final six regular-season games.
Robinson was playing more than 80% of Rams offensive snaps down the stretch last season, so I expect he will be on the field for all three-receiver sets again this season.
I had expected odds for Robinson around +350, so +450 is decent value in a game that has the highest total of Week 1.
With Josh Reynolds out of Detroit and in Denver, Williams is the No. 2 receiver for the Lions. He got rave reviews in training camp.
The Rams pass defense wasn't great last season, ranking in the bottom 10 in Pass DVOA and touchdown passes allowed. Los Angeles also played zone at a top-seven rate last season, and Williams caught both of his touchdowns last season against zone.
The last time we saw Williams he scored a rushing and receiving touchdown against the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. I'm backing him again here on Sunday Night Football.
