NFL Player Props | Bills vs Chiefs
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has not had his typical impact of late. Since Week 9, Diggs has averaged 43.6 receiving yards, failing to go over his current prop line in six of his last eight games to close the season.
It is worth nothing that while he carries no current injury designation, Diggs was limited in practices leading up to this weekend, dealing with a foot injury he re-aggravated, so he may not be at 100% entering the Divisional Round.
As for his matchup in this one, it won't be easy facing off one against of the league's best secondaries. Having been snubbed from the All-Pro team this year, cornerback L'Jarius Sneed is playing with a chip on his shoulder, locking down opposing teams' top options week after week. The last time these two teams met, Sneed shadowed in coverage for 65% of Diggs' routes, per NFL Next Gen, holding him to one catch for 24 yards on five targets.
Kansas City holds opposing WR1s to 49.4 receiving yards per game — second lowest per FTNNetwork — and has recently held Tyreek Hill to 63 yards, Ja'Marr Chase to 41 yards and Davante Adams to four yards.
Coach Sean McDermott will undoubtedly look to motion Diggs pre-snap in hopes of drawing better mismatches. Still, the reality is that without Gabe Davis, it will be easier for the Chiefs to give added attention to Diggs, especially in a playoff setting.
Needless to say, It's been a disappointing close to the season for Diggs, and with another unfriendly matchup on deck, I don't think the outlook gets any brighter to achieve his high receiving yards line.
Pick: Stefon Diggs Under 60.5 Receiving Yards |
