Week off for Lunch to prepare and the JMU pass game is completely broken right now. We have a major look ahead for JMU. Get the win and get outta there. JMU RB health in question here.

Lunch Winfield is more than a name, he was baller on the Louisiana high school football scene, he had three P4 offers (UCF, Louisville, and Virginia). But he opted to stay close to home and compete at a program where he could start early in his career. And here he is as a sophomore seizing his opportunity. And his skills, as a runner blend well with this roster and make UL a great underdog moving forward. The Cajuns can still really run block, 42nd in line yards, 9th in RUSH EPA. Zylan Perry and Bill Davis are powerful G5 runners, who have racked up nearly 2,700 career yards on the ground. They’ve broken 33 tackles already as a duo. Add in Lunch and this zone read game and playaction game has a SUPER high ceiling. A lot of JMU’s run metrics are strong, but this schedule has been a joke. Liberty found some success on the ground against them, but they had to abandon the run and they used three quarterbacks. So in my estimation, UL will be able to run the ball, they will hit some big plays in the playaction game, and there’s little tape to prepare for Lunch. On the other side of things I don’t trust this JMU passing game at all. They have no rhythm, they’ve struggled to protect Barnett, and as a result two things have tanked for them, Quality Drives and Big Plays, hovering around 100th in both. You want that to be a strength when laying three scores. Their struggles, the lookahead to the game of the year agaisnt Old Dominion, and UL’s ability to shrink this game down with the run, I’ll take the points.
