Wizards vs. Grizzlies Odds & Betting Predictions - November 9, 2024

Playing on Sleeper. I expect Jaren Jackson Jr. to shoot a lot today, but I’m going to target his rebound and assist line. For the season he’s averaging 5.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. Those 5.1 rebounds are coming off 9.9 rebounds opportunities, and those 0.9 assists are coming off 2.9 potential assists. Ja Morant is out today so it’s fair to expect JJJ to see an uptick in both rebound and assist chances as the ball will be in his hands more. But normally his line is set at 7.5, and we’re getting this now at 9.5 with Morant out. Projections have him at 9.13, so we need JoVal (revenge!) and Bub Carrington to keep him off the glass here.

Bub Carrington has been solid to start his rookie season with the Washington Wizards but has flown a bit under the radar due to playing next to #2 overall pick Alexandre Sarr. Carrington has seen his role increase without Kyle Kuzma who will be out Friday. In three games without Kuzma, Bub is averaging 12 ppg in 34 minutes. This matchup is particularly strong though. The Grizzlies and Wizards are 4th and 2nd in Pace, respectively and Memphis’ defense has not been as tight this year at just 12th in Adjusted Defensive Rating, per Dunks and Threes. I have Carrington at nearly 15 points and will grab over 11.5.
