The Nuggets face off against the Pacers who just beat up the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. I like Denver and Jokic in this spot. The Pacers are just 2-6 ATS when they have zero rest. While Denver is not a particularly strong ATS team either, this matchup aligns with what they do best. Indiana has been a sieve on the interior and they have not faced any Center of Jokic’s ilk. He missed recording a triple double in each matchup against them last season by just one assist. Indiana allows the fifth-most points in the paint and they continue to get abused at the rim. Zubac just scored 22 points against them yesterday and now they need to deal with an even more shifty offensive threat in Jokic. While Indiana limits assists overall, the offense will run through Jokic. This is a bounce back spot for the Nuggets who saw their nine-game winning streak snapped by the Lakers last time out. Jokic made some comments about how that was against weaker teams and they need to lock back in. With that mentality and this matchup, I expect him to not only lead the charge but he is in a matchup that will allow him to do so.
