Tyus Jones has been all the rage of late amongst player prop aficionados, and rightfully so. The Grizzlies point guard has filled in admirably for Ja Morant, averaging 27.2 points + assists in his 12 starting assignments this season.
He’s cleared this line in seven of those 12 games, including a strong 33 P+A performance on Thursday against the Warriors.
And we’ve seen Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins keep Jones on the floor. Jenkins is typically rigid with his rotations, but without a reliable ball-handling option behind Jones, the Duke product’s minutes floor is solid.
Tonight, Jones draws a plus matchup against the Mavericks. Dallas has struggled to defend opposing point guards, allowing the seventh-most combined points and assists to the position over the last 15 games.
Look for Jones to put together another strong performance. I have the point guard projected at 27 P+A and would play this line up to over 25.5.
