Nets vs. Wizards Odds & Betting Predictions - January 3, 2026

Nets down a ton of players but RotoGrinders has this projected for 13 RA. It’s popping in the PickLabs tool so I’ll go with it.

This number is still lagging behind Tre Johnson’s current role. With Kyshawn, Kispert, and Whitmore out, Washington’s offense has shifted and Johnson is no longer a low-usage spacer. He has become a 2A/2B scoring option behind CJ McCollum and Alex Sarr, especially with Khris Middleton increasingly deferring. Head coach Brian Keefe said Johnson has “earned the green light to be aggressive,” and that shows up with 10+ FGA in six of his last seven games as the Wizards run more actions to get him downhill and into pull-ups. He is also fully past the hip issue that limited him earlier in the season, with his burst and lift clearly back over the last two weeks. The Milwaukee game was a buy-low spot. It came on the second night of a back-to-back, so his minutes were monitored, yet he still scored 14 points while going 0-for-6 in the second half. The usage and shot quality were there, the legs were not. Now he gets Brooklyn on full rest against a Nets defense that just gave up 120 points to Houston on a B2B. PropsMadness backs this up. In games where Johnson sees 22+ minutes with a 20–24% usage rate, he has cleared this line in 4 of 5 games (80%), averaging 14.4 points on 12.0 FGA and 26.6 minutes.
