Off a couple of recent hiccups against strong lineups like the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins, Lugo has generally been very good all year. This matchup against the Angels presents a friendly matchup for Lugo to get back on track. Los Angeles has struggled mightily vs. RHP over the past month, ranking 27th in OPS and whiffing 24 percent of the time during that span. For the Angels, Carson Fulmer will make his seventh start of the season. Fulmer has really had to grind through a difficult year, donning a 0-3 record, 4.22 ERA, with 67 strikeouts across 70 1/3 innings. In his final effort against the Toronto Blue Jays, Fulmer really strained around the bump, going three innings and allowing five earned on five hits. Such a poor outing, paired with his overall inconsistency this season, does not set up well against a Royals lineup that has produced a bit more of late. Bullpen: In addition, the Royals have a more solid bullpen than the Angels. More will be seen in this regard if the game gets close into the later innings. With Lugo's great season, and the offensive woes of the Angels, the edge has to go in this matchup towards Kansas City.
