The NBA season rolls on with a short six-game slate on Wednesday, Dec. 27. The action tips off at 7 p.m. ET with 76ers at Magic and concludes at 8:30 p.m. ET with Cavaliers at Mavericks.
Yesterday's games delivered in spades, including tremendous individual performances by Cade Cunningham and De'Aaron Fox — both of whom scored more than 40 points — and an overtime thriller between the Grizzlies and Pelicans en route to Memphis' comeback victory.
Will today's games feature even more compelling action? It's the NBA: Bet on it.

Thunder -3 vs. Knicks

The Thunder are coming off of one of their best wins of the season over the Timberwolves as well as the Knicks who are coming off a huge win on Christmas over the Bucks and traveling back west to play OKC. If you don't have a big to dominate inside over Chet Holmgren then you will struggle. I have Thunder -5.8 with the deduction of points for a back-to-back spot.
The Thunder pride themselves on being professional and well-coached, so I think this is a good spot to take them as a short favorite against a good, not great, team.
Rockets +1.5 vs. Suns

I am going back to the well here with Houston. They have been really good this season on a back-to-back. They are 2-1-1 against the spread on the second leg of a back-to-back this season. Why I am really betting on this team is because the line is +1.5. The Suns have not played well and still are not at full strength. The Rockets are above .500 while the Suns are not, the Rockets are at home and the Suns are on the road.
I think this line is totally wrong and I will bet on the Rockets because as of December 27th, they are the better team.
Cavaliers +3.5 at Mavericks
8:30 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass

The spread has dropped from 7 to 3.5 because Luka Doncic has been listed as questionable. I like the Cavs here because I think this is a letdown spot for the Mavs. The Cavs have been playing good basketball, as they are 4-0 in their last four and 3-1 against the spread. Outside of Luka, I think the rest of the team is up-and-down.
The Mavs are on the first leg of a back-to-back as they play at home, then they have to travel to Minnesota to play the Timberwolves tomorrow night. They have had five back-to-backs this season and are 0-5 in their first legs of those spots so I will take the Cavs on the road who are 5-3 against the spread as a road dog.
