For the first time this season, there is only one game being played around the association tonight. We can thank Trae Young for that, as he extended the series to Game 6 versus the Boston Celtics after late-game heroics on the road in Game 5.

On that note, I will be crafting a same-game parlay featuring three players in tonight’s game and explaining why their stats have a safe floor as pieces to the puzzle.

NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Pick

The Parlay: (+149 at FanDuel)

  • Derrick White O11.5 Points (-350)
  • Robert Williams O5.5 Rebounds (-450)
  • Dejounte Murray O3.5 Assists (-550)
  • Dejounte Murray 1+ Steal (-400)

Derrick White Over 11.5 Points (-350)

What more can you say about Derrick White during this series? The veteran combo guard has stepped up offensively and been a reliable player for the Celtics by scoring and defensively impacting Trae Young when he has the ball.

White has scored 12 or more points in 23 of his last 25 games (92%) when playing at least 30 minutes. In the playoffs, his playing time has increased from 28.3 to 33.3 minutes per game on the court. He is not afraid to take his shot, and while sharing the court with two All-Stars, he's averaging 19.4 points per game this series.

Robert Williams Over 5.5 Rebounds (-450)

“Timelord” has been another critical piece in Boston’s playoff rotation. He will not start the game, but he has a safe floor of playing at least 22 minutes when he comes off the bench.

Williams is leading all Celtics players in rebound chances (15.2) this series and is one of the better offensive rebounders in the NBA. He has collected six or more rebounds in 16 of his last 19 games (84%). The Hawks converted on 46.3% of their 3-pointers last game, but I think there is a little more room for rebounding opportunity if there is shooting regression tonight.

Dejounte Murray Over 3.5 Assists (-550)

Dejounte Murray will make his way back to the starting lineup in Game 6 after playing through his one-game suspension for Game 5 for making inappropriate contact with an official after Game 4 in Atlanta.

I originally wanted to take the 15+ points benchmark but felt his assist angle had a safer hit rate. Alongside Young, the backcourt duo makes up for 73.3% of the share in total potential assists this series.

Murray is averaging 5.8 assists per game in the playoffs on 11.3 potential and has dished out at least four dimes in 21 of his last 25 games (84%) when playing at least 32 minutes on the court. On top of that, he has reached this mark in all six games against the Boston Celtics this season.

Dejounte Murray 1+ Steal (-400)

I will be sticking with the Murray for the last leg but going to the defensive stats here. Murray has been running hot with swiping the ball successfully down the stretch.

Murray has recorded at least one steal in 16 of his last 17 games this season. The Celtics are tied for fifth among the 16 playoff teams by allowing 8.2 steals per game. Murray has also reached this benchmark in all six games against the Celtics.
