The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers face off for a third and final time this season with the series tied at 1-1. Unfortunately with injuries plaguing both rosters, we will not be close to seeing either team at full strength.
For Los Angeles, LeBron James remains out, Anthony Davis is probable, and the big news is that D'Angelo Russell has been upgraded to questionable. This is worth monitoring before tipoff.
For Memphis, the Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke and Steven Adams. Dillion Brooks will return after serving his one-game suspension, however the Grizzlies seemed to play very well shorthanded Sunday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Pick
The Parlay: (+525)
- Desmond Bane to Score 25+ Points (+100)
- Malik Beasley Over 2.5 Made 3-Point Shots (-165)
- Over 224.5 Points (-110)
Desmond Bane to Score 25+ Points (+100)
The Grizzlies got their offense flowing on the road against the Clippers with four players contributing 15 or more points. Unfortunately, despite holding a lead for most of the game, they ultimately fell short 135-129.
Desmond Bane saw a huge uptick in shot attempts and continued his hot shooting in the month of March. He's shooting just shy of 59 percent from the floor and 48 percent from beyond the arc while contributing an average of 26.3 points per contest over that three-game stretch.
Looking into his last six head-to-head matchups against the Lakers, he's logged 16 or more points in six straight contests and looks primed for another big shooting night. Expect him to exceed hi point total of 24.5.
Malik Beasley Over 2.5 Made 3-Point Shots (-165)
With the Lakers still shorthanded, Malik Beasley has taken advantage of extra playing time. We've seen the biggest increase in shot attempts for him from beyond the arc. He's averaging 8.1 attempts a contest on average but has eclipsed 11 or more attempts three out of the Lakers last six games.
In matchups against the Grizzlies, he's connected on two or more made 3-point shots five straight times. The volume of attempts will certainly be there, and there might be a lot of value looking into alternate numbers on 3's made. For the sake of the parlay, keep it simple at over 2.5 made 3-point shots.
Over 224.5 Points (-110)
Our first two prop bets are pretty contingent on a high-scoring game, and that looks probable as these two teams meet up. In both prior meetings this season, we have seen at least one team eclipse the 120-point mark.
Although these two teams are shorthanded, both rank in the top 10 in scoring and, most importantly, have been vulnerable on the defensive end.
We can expect both squads to push the tempo early and often. Both teams enter ranking in the top 10 in Pace with the Lakers ranked second and the Grizzlies ranked seventh. Expect the over to hit in the final matchup of the season between these teams.
