The Dallas Mavericks come into this contest as losers seven of their last 10 overall. They are fresh off a 127-126 loss to the WashingtonWizards in a back-and-forth affair which had Luka Doncic lighting it up with 41-points.

As for the Suns, they have won four straight mostly getting it done on the defensive end. The Suns hope to keep things rolling at home as 1.5-point favorites, looking to improve their home record to 19-7.

NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Pick

The Parlay: (+330)

  • Chris Paul Under 14.5 Points (+115)
  • Phoenix Suns Moneyline (-115)

Chris Paul Under 14.5 Points (+115)

Chris Paul will play his third game after missing seven prior with a hip injury. He's been feeling the effects of injuries this season, as he was out for 14 straight games recently with a heel injury. This in turn has really impacted his efficiency, with Paul averaging a career low in points at 13.4, field goal percentage, and attempts per game.

He did not have much of an offensive impact in their first head-to-head meeting of the year, and sat out the next. In the first, he shot 1-of-6 from the floor while logging six points in 30 minutes. Returning from an injury against a team that he struggled against before will likely have Paul in the role of facilitator, rather than scorer.

Phoenix Suns Moneyline (-115)

The Mavericks have really struggled on offense. They rank 30th in assists per game, 30th in points in the paint and 30th in fast-break points per game. Their defense was what gave them an edge in most of their wins, but as of late this is even an area the Mavs have been vulnerable.

Looking at the month of January as a whole, eight times have the Mavericks surrendered 115 or more points.

The Suns, on the other hand, are holding opponents to 111.7 points per game, and have been most efficient limiting fast-break points and forcing up tough shots. They rank first in opponent 3-pointers attempted, second in 3s made and within the top 10 in effective field goal percentage and field goals made per contest.

Take Phoenix on their home court to push their winning streak to five getting it done on the defensive end first.
