The second half of the season is well underway, and there is a small four-game schedule in the NBA tonight. The Philadelphia 76ers will visit the Dallas Mavericks before the struggling Los Angeles Clippers play the Golden State Warriors on TNT. Below, I have highlighted my two best bets NBA Player Props for tonight.
NBA Player Props & Picks
Bradley Beal, Over 6.5 Assists (+105)
Spread | Raptors -2 |
Time | TV | 7 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Line | DraftKings |
The Washington Wizards will welcome the Toronto Raptors to town tonight, and I am zoning in on Wizards All-Star guard Bradley Beal to have a big night dishing out the basketball. The Wizards are thin at the point guard position because of Monte Morris' back injury. As a result, Beal has taken on the responsibility of running the offense and finding his teammates.
In the three games since the All-Star break, Beal has gone over the projection of 6.5 assists all three times as he is averaging close to eight assists per game in that span. Furthermore, the Wizards are expected to get Kristaps Porzingis back tonight, which will only help the offense and provide better spacing. Beal has also gone over this projection in three straight games against the Raptors.
Since the All-Star break, the Raptors rank 24th in opponent assists allowed per game (at nearly 16 per game). This season, the Raptors are allowing 8.3 assists per game to the point guard position, which ranks near the bottom of the league. At plus-money odds, I love the chances that Beal exceeds his assists projection of 6.5!
Pick: Bradley Beal Over 6.5 Assists |
Donte DiVincenzo, Over 2.5 3s (-130)
Spread | Clippers -3 |
Time | TV | 10 p.m. ET | TNT |
Best Line | DraftKings |
The Golden State Warriors will welcome the struggling Los Angeles Clippers to San Francisco in a Pacific Division matchup. In the absence of Stephen Curry, Donte DiVincenzo has stepped up in a big way for the Warriors, especially from the 3-point line.
This season, DiVincenzo is shooting 42.4% from beyond the arc and has been even better over the last five games, shooting 48.6% in that span. DiVincenzo has made at least four 3-pointers in the last three games for the Warriors and is getting up an average of 9.2 attempts per game. According to nba.com/stats, the Clippers are allowing opposing teams to make 13.3 three-pointers per game since the All-Star Break and allowing 37.7% from beyond the arc, which both rank 21st.
With the attention that Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole command in the Curry's absence, DiVincenzo has made the most of his opportunities. Take DiVincenzo's hot shooting to continue tonight against the struggling Clippers. I like this at plus odds up to 3.5 as well.
