The hardwood action continues with a few intriguing Thursday night matchups. There are plenty of player props to cash in on and here are a few NBA player props I love for Thursday night!
NBA Player Props & Picks
Mason Plumlee, Over 10.5 Rebounds (-125)
Spread | Bulls -6.5 |
Time | TV | 8:10 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Line | DraftKings |
The Charlotte Hornets will travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls. The Bulls are struggling to rebound the basketball this season and rank 17th in opponent rebounds allowed per game.
However, over the past 10 games, the Bulls rank 24th. The Bulls are also allowing opposing centers to grab 16.2 rebounds per game, which ranks fifth worst in the entire league. This will be the third matchup this season between the Hornets and the Bulls. In the two prior matchups, Plumlee grabbed 12 and 13 rebounds, respectively.
There is no question Plumlee is the leading rebounder for the Hornets. In fact, the second leading rebounder for the Hornets is LaMelo Ball, who is averaging 5.7 rebounds per game. Due to the Bulls' lack of size inside, I expect Plumlees' rebounding success to continue. Take the Over in this matchup.
Kawhi Leonard, Over 1.5 Steals (+120)
Spread | Bucks -4.5 |
Time | TV | 10 p.m. ET | TNT |
Best Line | DraftKings |
The matchup of the night will be the Clippers visiting the Bucks. I am looking for Leonard to have a good defensive effort against Milwaukee. When healthy, Leonard is one of the best two-way superstars in the league.
This season, Leonard is averaging 1.3 steals per game, but this is an opportunity for him to put up more defensive stats. The Bucks commit the fifth-most turnovers per game (15.3). One stat that jumps off the page is the number of steals Leonard has against the Bucks. In fact, he has at least two or more steals against the Bucks in seven straight games!
I expect Leonard to be able to take the ball out of Giannis Antetokounmpo's hands as he tries to get downhill and get to the basket. I expect Leonard's streak to continue, so take the plus odds.
Luka Doncic, Rebs + Asts (-120)
Spread | Mavericks -5 |
Time | TV | 8:30 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Line | DraftKings |
The Dallas Mavericks will welcome the New Orleans Pelicans to town for a divisional matchup and I am going to back Doncic to fill up the stat sheet. Doncic has been a tear this season and is playing at an MVP level. Thus far, Doncic is averaging 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game.
However, Doncic has also has plenty of recent success against the Pelicans. Over his past four games against New Orleans, Doncic is averaging 11.5 rebounds and eight assists per game. In fact, Doncic has gone over this projection in four of his past five games against the Pelicans, including both matchups this season.
I expect the Pelicans to throw different defenders at Doncic in an attempt to get him off his rhythm. However, I don't expect that to work as I think Doncic will turn in another big night.
