Patrick Beverley, Over 2.5 Assists (-150)

SpreadBulls -7.5

Best LinePointsBet

Newly acquired Patrick Beverley is trying to live up to the hype of making the playoffs in every season. The Bulls are currently a half-game back of the last seed in the play-in tournament as they have won four of their seven games since adding Beverley. They are also 7.5-point favorites against the Rockets.

Beverley has started every game for the Bulls and is averaging four assists per game. During that span, 8.9 points per game are created from all of Beverley's assists, which is second on the team behind only DeMar DeRozan. The Bulls are implied to score 115.75 points, which is plenty of opportunities for assists.

The Rockets have the second-worst Defensive Rating in the league, while allowing 118.2 points per game. They have basically mailed in this season as their 15 wins are tied with the Pistons for the lowest. This is a great matchup for Beverley and the Bulls to keep climbing the Eastern Conference standings.

Our NBA Model has Beverley projected for exactly four assists, which isn't a surprise since that is his average thus far with the Bulls. He has three or more assists in five of his seven games and this would still be a great prop line at 3.5 assists. Take the over in this elite matchup against a tanking Rockets team.

Desmond Bane, Over 2.5 3-Pointers Made (-120)

SpreadGrizzlies -4.5

Best LineDraftKings

The Memphis Grizzlies finally got a victory sans Ja Morant as they beat the Warriors by over 20 points at home in their last game. They remain tied for the second overall seed in the Western Conference with the Kings. The Grizzlies are 5.5-point favorites against the Mavericks without Luka Doncic tonight.

In his third year in the league, Desmond Bane is averaging a career-high 21.2 points per game, while shooting over 40% from behind the arc for the third consecutive season. The sharp-shooter is making 2.9 3-pointers per game on a career-high 7.1 attempts and will get a big boost without Morant on the floor.

In eight games without Morant this season, Bane is attempting 17.4 field goals and averaging 22 points per game, while shooting 48.9% from the field and 45.1% from downtown. Bane has a team-high 27.8% usage rate in that span as the Grizzlies leading scorer. Expect a lot of opportunity for Bane to hit this over.

Our NBA Model has Bane projected to make 3.8 3-pointers tonight, which is the best prop on the board. He had made three or more 3-pointers in six of the eight games that he has played without Morant. This prop is simply too low and I would consider taking his over at 3.5 3-pointers made if the line moved.

Josh Giddey, Over 6.5 Assists (+100)

SpreadPelicans -2

Best LineDraftKings

The Oklahoma City Thunder are attempting to make a late surge at the play-in tournament in the Western Conference. They have won three of their last four games and are only two-point road underdogs against the Pelicans who are the last team currently in the play-in tournament. A huge game for both teams.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey are one of the most exciting young backcourts in the league. Gilgeous-Alexander does most of his damage scoring the ball as he is averaging a career-high 31.2 points per game, while shooting 51% from the field. Giddey on the other hand leads the team in both rebounds and assists being one of the best capturing peripherals every game.

The Pelicans are one of the better defensive teams, but this total has climbed to 233 points as the Thunder play at the third fastest Pace in the league. Our NBA Model has Giddey projected for 7.6 assists, which is providing a ton of value on this over prop that is coming in at even-money at 6.5 assists tonight.

Since the start of March, Giddey is averaging 11 assists per game while reaching nine of more assists in four of those five games. Deploying a ladder method on this assist prop is very intriguing as Giddey has had so many assist opportunities recently. Since the start of March, Giddey is second in the league with 20.6 potential assists per game. I absolutely love this Giddey assists prop.
