Cavaliers vs Warriors Prediction, Picks for Saturday, Nov. 11

Here's everything you need to know about Cavaliers vs Warriors on Nov. 11 — our expert prediction and betting picks for today.

The Cavaliers are still trying to find their footing as we tip off the new NBA season, but one team they’ve been able to solve is the Golden State Warriors. Golden State is off to a torrid start, and while it didn’t have quite enough to topple Denver earlier in the week it does have Draymond Green back in the lineup and a clean injury report.

Will the Warriors continue to dominate here on Saturday? Let's get to our Cavaliers vs Warriors prediction and pick.

One of the big surprises early on in the season has been the Warriors’ frontcourt. We’ve always known that the Warriors were a good defensive team underneath but they’ve come out and start of the season just outside the top 10 in rebounding record in the NBA the Cleveland Cavaliers are not a team that’s traditionally rebounded very well at this season has been no different. Cleveland is down in 22nd when it comes to rebounding rate and rebounding has been some thing that’s held them back in years past.

The Cavs have lost big games and playoff series by getting out-rebounded by opponents and if the Golden State Warriors are able to outrebound them on Saturday, it’s going to be bad news.

Cleveland has built its team around the fence but it hasn’t quite been good enough to win ballgames. Golden State has put forth an incredible offensive attack through the first few weeks of the season and I expect it’s our fence to carry it through for a victory on Saturday.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Cleveland sits just 14th in defensive efficiency through eight games, allowing 111.6 points per 100 possessions. It comes a year after this team led the league in that area.

Sure, there’s been some turnover, but the performance of this team on that end has simply fallen short of expectations. On top of that, the Cavs will be playing on Saturday without Isaac Okoro.

It's not as if things are getting better, either. This team posted a season-worse 123 defensive rating versus Oklahoma City after holding the Thunder at bay earlier in the year.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors, meanwhile, seem to be a well-oiled machine. Chris Paul has bolstered a second unit led by inexperienced players in the last couple of years, and his presence in crunch time has added yet another dominant layer to a very disciplined group. While that didn't ultimately lead them to victory against the Nuggets, Golden State held a lead in the fourth and out-performed expectations against the best offense in the NBA.

Golden State struggled to score in that game, but against a weaker defensive unit things should get back on track. We also have to consider the fact that Green was missing from that game, which obviously hurts defensively but also holds Golden State back on the other end. His playmaking ability is paramount.

The Warriors were able to post a 111.3 defensive rating against the mighty Nuggets which, even in a game that didn't feature Jamal Murray, is still very impressive. With Green back, I expect the Warriors to look like one of the best teams in the NBA against a weak Cavs group.

Cleveland's inability to rebound is going to really cost them here, and for a team which likes to play slow and dig its heels in on defense they certainly haven't done a good job on that end.

Golden State should break out offensively and win this one handily.

Pick: Warriors -3.5 (-120)
