Bucks -9.5 at Wizards
7:00 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Joe Dellera
I took this line at -8.5 but I would take it up to -10.5 but if it gets much higher I would look at what lines, between Jim and I's moved less. Over the last two weeks, Milwaukee is 6-2 and they're +6.1 point differential in non-garbage time minutes.
The Wizards defense can't stop anybody and their offense can't score against even Milwaukee's sub-par defense against guards. The Bucks have started figuring it out and I can see them hanging an insane number on the Wizards. I think this is a great opportunity for a recent NBA champion to have their way.
Bucks 1H Team Total Over 64.5 at Wizards
7:00 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Jim Turvey
I think the Bucks are starting to come together with new pieces and new coaching. The Wizards bench unit isn't that bad, but the starting unit is one of the worst in the league, if not the worst. I am targeting the Bucks offense in particular for fear of a backdoor cover.
The Wizards are one of the worst defensive leagues and run at one of the fastest paces, so even if the Bucks aren't shooting the ball great, they will get plenty of opportunity. I don't know what the defensive assignments will be for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
Over Ivica Zubac o9.5 points at Spurs
8:00 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Joe Dellera
A little bit of this is because I think he will be matching up more with Zach Collins tonight. Zubac has gone over this line in 4 of his last 5 against the Spurs. I think the Clippers will be able to space out Victor Wembanyama and give Zubac opportunities to score in the paint.
He just scored 12 points in his last game against Houston and has been around this number for most of the season. He scored 12 against the Spurs in their last game out and I am comfortable with 9.5.
Rockets +9 at Warriors
10:00 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Matt Moore
I can't imagine the Rockets resting any of the guys that have been impactful regardless of a back-to-back. I don't know where this number is coming from. This Warriors team is not as good as other statistics may say, and I think that without Draymond Green and a shell of Klay Thompson, I can't see this number being above 7.5.
Timberwolves -3 vs. Knicks
8:00 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Matt Moore
I will lay the 3 with the Timberwolves, my models have them at -5 and higher. I think the Timberwolves' front-court should be able to somewhat prevent Mitchell Robinson from bringing down every rebound on the planet. If this game is a slug fest, then I feel really good about them in this spot.
Domantas Sabonis over 19.5 rebounds+assists at Pelicans
8:00 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Jim Turvey
In his last two games against Jonas Valanciunas, Sabonis has recorded a triple-double. In the prior games before that, he is averaging double-digit rebounds and is closing in on 9 assists per game. I think it is a good spot to look at a Sabonis triple-double as well if the number is good enough.
I like this spot generally with Sabonis because the Kings play faster, and even if he isn't playing against Valanciunas, I think he can rebound better than Zion Williamson too. I noticed too that the offense is at a fast pace, and I think Sabonis can kick the ball out to open guys on fastbreaks.
Keldon Johnson Over 17.5 Points vs. Clippers
8:00 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Jim Turvey
This one is relatively straight-forward with Devin Vassell being listed as doubtful (caveat: was doubtful a week ago and ended up playing), I think Johnson can get his. I think 17.5 is a low number and I do think it will move up throughout the day. If I see Vassell officially listed as out I will throw more then. Johnson's numbers are quite different with Vassell off the floor, 24.6 points per 100 possessions, to 33.6 with him off. In the four games Vassell has been out, his points were 26, 16, 21 and 22.
There is a really high floor for this, but not quite a high ceiling, that is why I wouldn't ladder this play.
