Nets +3 vs. Mavericks
7:30 p.m. ET ⋅ TNT
I like Brooklyn because of the defensive matchup and the spot. Dereck Lively will be out once again, which is a huge blow for the Mavericks. They are 22-14 straight up (SU) with Lively in and 5-9 SU/ATS with him out.
Without Lively, I think the Nets can do a good job at trying to contain Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. It is Irving's first game back in Brooklyn, and I think it's a great spot for former teammates to show him what's going on in Brooklyn. I will take them at whatever number; I think they win it outright.
Jazz +3 vs. Thunder
8 p.m. ET ⋅ NBA League Pass
By Jay Money
The Jazz are the third-best against-the-spread (ATS) team as a home underdog at 10-4, and are the best ATS home team at 17-6 overall.
This is also a revenge spot for Utah, who lost at home to the Thunder the last time out.
This is a fade spot for the Thunder, as well. They are coming off a double-overtime game and traveled to play in altitude in their sixth game in nine days. I think the Jazz match up well with them, and I want to let everyone know to wait until close to game time to bet because of the trade deadline.
Bucks +3.5 at Suns
10 p.m. ET ⋅ TNT
By Matt Moore
I think Milwaukee is turning a corner — and I know they are 1-3 under Doc Rivers and just gave up a zillion to the Utah Jazz.
They got gassed in that last game out, and when their defense is bad, it is really bad. The Bucks began this season as one of the worst turnover teams in the league; they have since completely flipped that on its head and have become one of the best teams at turning the offense over.
It's a bad spot for the Bucks but a worse spot for the Suns who just finished a seven-game road trip.
Under 243.5
10 p.m. ET ⋅ TNT
By Matt Moore
I have this projected at 238.
If I think the Bucks defense is going to turn the corner, I would like to wait, but I think it plays in this spot. The Suns are a really good transition team but the Bucks are actually better at defending the transition than you would think.
I think they will slow this game enough to keep the pace down.
