The latest "ignored spot-up player" edge play vs. OKC! After a 5-game absence recovering from a left knee contusion, this is an A+ matchup for Dean Wade, who is averaging 8.3 PPG when seeing 12-27 minutes vs OKC. Wade will make his return to a depleted Cavs squad that's devoid of perimeter shooting- missing Darius Garland, Sam Merrill, and Max Strus. Wade is a big body and should be very meaningful for the Cavs defense in defending SGA after the PnR and Chet in coverage. Despite the unknown of minutes clarity, I am expecting him to compete with Nyquon Tomlin and see at least 17 minutes. #PlayerProps

The Cavaliers face off against the Thunder who are rolling once again this season. The Cavs will be without both Sam Merrill and Darius Garland for this one while the Thunder are without Jalen Williams. Without Jdub, I’d expect the Thunder to run a bit smaller and we’ll see more minutes with Aaron Wiggins, Cason Wallace, and Alex Caruso, all that can smother opposing guards. While Mitchell does see an uptick without Garland, this becomes a tougher assignment against the Thunder who have the perimeter talent to force everyone else to score instead of Mitchell. He hasn’t performed particularly well against OKC either, with them holding him to 8 and 11 points in their two matchups last season.
