The Knicks face off against the Dallas Mavericks and I am keying in on Jalen Brunson against his former team. This is not a revenge narrative but I do think this is a good spot with Dallas missing Luka Doncic and then listing Grimes (illness), Lively (illness), and Klay (Foot) as Questionable. Those are also just the players that are listed with illness, but if it’s something going through the locker room then it may be impacting a few others as well. If Lively is unable to go, this dramatically affects Dallas’ ability to defend the pick and roll with Brunson and KAT. Dallas has gotten torched by primary PnR ball handlers such as Trae Young, Jimmy Butler, SGA, and Steph Curry. Brunson should be able to thrive here as a dimer to KAT. From a scoring perspective, Brunson is averaging 24.9 ppg this season, and Dallas is just 20th in Points in the Paint allowed so Brunson should be able to get downhill and attack the rack here. I’ll grab over 32.5 PA.
