Clippers vs. Lakers Odds & Betting Predictions - March 3, 2025

These teams just faced off two nights ago and totaled 208 points - while I don't necessarily expect that to happen again, what you can expect once again is a playoff-like atmosphere between two in-city rivals. Many expected the Lakers' defense to be weaker after the Doncic trade but it has actually improved statistically. Their ability to switch and recover quickly has been a problem for opponents as games have slowed down, which they typically do in the 2nd half of the NBA season. This has offset the loss of AD in the paint a bit. The Clippers are no slouch defensively either, but they've been far worse offensively on the road (although this isn't your typical road game). Overall, both of these teams have trended to the under all season long and I still think this total is a bit too high from where it should be, around 216. The Clippers are 12-18 O/U on the road while the Lakers are 13-16 O/U at home. Over their last 15 games, the Lakers have the best defensive rating in the NBA (107.2) while the Clippers are still in the top half at 14th (114.8). I haven't even mentioned the Lakers' injury report which has LeBron, Luka and Austin Reeves all listed as day-to-day with nagging injuries. One or a couple could sit which also helps.
