The Pelicans' defense ranks in the bottom half of the league over their last 15 games, and they are particularly vulnerable to athletic wings with length and scoring versatility like Flagg. As a 8.5-point road underdog, Dallas is likely to rely heavily on Flagg's shot volume to stay competitive, especially in transition and isolation sets where he has excelled against comparable frontcourts this season. I think that Flagg is acutely aware of the fact that he is no longer the favorite to win the rookie of the year award, and he is going to do everything in his power over the last month to re-assert himself as the premier rookie in this class. Dallas is going to give him unlimited run and usage to do so. Further, looking at the injury report it’s entirely possible if not likely that PJ Washington sits this one out which would further open up Usage for Flagg.
