Hawks vs. Pacers Odds & Betting Predictions - April 14, 2024

The Pacers have a must-win game against the Atlanta Hawks who are locked into the Play-In Tournament as the 10 seed. Despite being entrenched in the Play-In the Hawks should get Trae Young at least some time at that PG position given his recent return from injury. Trae is a total sieve defensively and the Hawks are 3.8 points worse defensively when he’s on the floor. In two games against the Hawks this season, Haliburton has logged 16 and 18 assists on 22 and 25 potentials respectively. He has evicerated this defense which has no real answer for him especially when he gets to face off against Trae. Atlanta allows the eighth-most assists per game but prior to Trae’s injury they were fourth-most (28.6). Even if Trae does not play, it’s a decision to rest for this game which means the Hawks are deep into their depth chart. Haliburton still does not look like he is operating at 100% but he has looked significantly better this month while averaging 20 points and 9.5 assists per game in April. Given the potential Pace in this game and conflicting levels of motivation, I expect Haliburton to continue to find success distributing in a must-win game for the Pacers.
