They used Martin as a bulk reliever last game behind the lefty Eisert and Martin had success so there’s a chance they do that again, but that was against an A’s team with two lefties in the top four of the lineup. Not sure if they do that again here vs HOU. Martin’s strike rate is down to 14.9% this season and his swinging strike rate is down to 7.5% (his career rate is 10.8% for context). Astros offense and contact rates haven’t been as good as last season but I get the logic here and project this closer to 3.5 strikeouts.
