After a clean sweep with Saturday's four-prop card, we look to stay hot with three picks on Sunday, featuring Brock Nelson, Sam Bennett and Evan Bouchard.

NHL Player Props for Sunday, April 23

Brock Nelson 3+ Shots on Goal (+114)

Nothing has really changed since my handicap on this prior to Game 2. These odds are far too long of a number for Nelson to record three shots, considering his role on the Islanders and willingness to fire away.

Nelson, Pierre Engvall and Kyle Palmieri have been very effective at even strength in this series. They hold a 57.1% expected goals share and have generated 3.83 expected goals (xG) per hour of play. The trio should continue to spend lots of time in the offensive zone today, leading to potential shots on goal for Nelson.

The Isles' power play also looked far better in Game 2. If they can continue to set it up more effectively on Sunday, it would help our chances of seeing Nelson record some shots on target with the man advantage.

Pick: Brock Nelson 3+ Shots on Goal (+114)

Sam Bennett Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-145)

Team vs. TeamBruins vs Panthers

Since returning to the lineup in Game 2, Bennett has been a very notable force on a stacked even-strength line with Matthew Tkachuk and Carter Verhaeghe. The trio has played to a 68.4% xG share and has generated 4.07 xG per 60.

Bennett has registered 10 shots on goal, with a goal and an assist in two games.

A case could be made for any of him, Tkachuk or Verhaeghe to go over their shot props. If you can't get a good price on Bennett but can get Tkachuk or Verhaeghe at a good number relative to the betting market, I would suggest pivoting.

Evan Bouchard 3+ Shots on Goal (+125)

Team vs. TeamOilers vs Kings

It makes a ton of sense that Bouchard should record a lot of shots on goal considering his elite shooting ability, and his role on a high-powered Oilers team.

Bouchard is the quarterback on Edmonton's vaunted top power-play unit and is always likely to receive a ton of shooting opportunities as a result. That's especially the case in this series. Los Angeles will likely continue to attempt to press up more aggressively on Connor McDavid coming down the left flank, which would ideally force him to lay the puck off.

Bouchard has had 26 shot attempts in the first three games of the series. As we often see with defenders during the playoffs, a low percentage of those are reaching the target due to a higher number of blocks and greater pressure on the point. >Still, nine shots have reached the target, and Bouchard has cashed this prop in two of three games this series.

This prop likely won't be around at +125 for too many more games at this rate, so I love the value here.

Pick: Evan Bouchard 3+ Shots on Goal (+125)
