The Navy Midshipmen football program aims to keep the momentum after an exciting 10-3 season in 2024. Brian Newberry enters his 3rd year as the head coach.

2025 has hype from a 10–win season, key players returning, and multiple bets in their favor. Their projected win total is around 8.5, but they may not go undefeated in their conferece. The team is positioned to compete for the AAC title and possibly a CFP berth, though it's considered a challenging late-season stretch.

Betting on Navy

You can bet on Navy in various ways this season. The top options for the Midshipmen are the NCAAF win total and AAC Championship odds. We likely won't see any Navy players in contention to win the Heisman, but that's another market available for college football betting.

There are also options to bet on individual Navy games. You can bet on the moneyline, point spread, and point total.

Betting on the Navy Moneyline

Betting on the moneyline is the simplest way to approach a game. You're betting on which team wins the game. It can get tricky when determining the odds because it's not always valuable to wager on a big favorite. Take a look at an example below for a Navy game.

• Notre Dame -1500

In this example, Navy is the underdog because they have a (+) symbol in front of the odds. Notre Dame is a favorite with the (-) symbol, and the large number indicates they're a big favorite. It's not as easy as betting on Notre Dame because you'd have to wager $1,500 just to earn a $100 profit. With Navy, a $100 bet gives you $800 in winnings if they pull off the upset.

Betting on Navy Point Spreads

The point spread represents the amount by which one team will defeat another. It's a good way to find value on the favorite, so you don't have to place a massive wager to turn a profit. Typically, you'll see each team have -110 odds for the spread.

• Navy +20.5 (-110)
• Notre Dame -20.5 (-110)

If we use the same example from the moneyline, Notre Dame is a 20.5-point favorite over Navy. That means Notre Dame must win by 21+ points to cover the spread. If you're betting on Navy, they must win or lose by 20 points or less. The -110 odds mean a $110 wager yields $100 in winnings.

Betting on the Point Total in Navy Games

The point total is all about determining the game's final score. The sportsbooks have a point projection before each game, and you must decide if there will be more or less points. In last year's game between Navy and Notre Dame, the point total was 49.5.

• Over/Under 49.5 Points (-110)

It's fairly simple to bet on the point total. If you bet the over, you need 50+ points, while a bet on the under means you win with 48 points or fewer.
