Below, we have UConn vs. Indiana odds and a pick, including a college basketball betting guide for Sunday, Nov. 19.

It's Red Alert for Indiana early in the season, and it's not going to get any easier for Mike Woodson's Hoosiers on Sunday when they face the UConn Huskies.

The defending national champions have tons of fire power for the second straight season, returning Tristen Newton in the backcourt and Donovan Clingan at center, while adding Cam Spencer as a sharpshooter alongside them.

Both teams had promise on paper before the season began, and both teams are currently undefeated through three games. But it couldn't feel more different, as Indiana has failed to cover in all three of its contests, while UConn has passed tests with flying colors.

A win for the Hoosiers would be the boost they need to turn the corner, but a blowout loss would raise questions on where this program is headed this season. It's put up or shut up time.

Connecticut Huskies

It all starts with Clingan, who was a key contributor off the bench last season during UConn's magical run to a title. He's now stepping into a superstar role in 2023-24, and is currently averaging 15 points and seven rebounds per game thus far. He's also blocked at least two shots in all three games.

Clingan is one of the best rim protectors in the sport, which should pose some problems for an Indiana squad that struggles to do anything offensively other than score at the rim. Clingan has the size advantage and will look to dominate from the inside out.

To that point, UConn is currently ranked as the No. 1 2-point offense in the country. Clingan is a large part of that, but the supporting cast — Alex Karaban, Newton and Spencer — has been efficient as well.

Indiana Hoosiers

On the other end, Indiana continues to survive and advance. The Hoosiers are also good inside, ranking eighth in the country on 2-point attempts (64%). They get to the line a ton, ranking fifth in free-throw attempt %, but they struggle to make them as a team.

That's not the only thing they struggle with, as the Hoosiers shoot just 27% from 3 overall. Despite having good low post scorers in Kel'el Ware and Malik Reneau, Indiana has been atrocious at rebounding, most recently getting beat up on the boards by Wright State.

There are major depth concerns in the backcourt, where Indiana has Xavier Johnson and not much else. Johnson turned his ankle at the very end of the Wright State win, and if he's hobbled at all, it's hard to envision Indiana hanging around for long in this one.

Betting Pick & Prediction

With Indiana being a one-dimensional team to start the season, it'll be difficult for the Hoosiers to put up a good showing against a UConn team that's also dominant inside.

Expect Clingan and the Huskies' defense to make it tough at the rim, and from there, Indiana won't know where to turn.

The Huskies should roll in this one.

Pick: UConn -11.5
