We have ourselves a loaded Saturday slate, as there are marquee matchups all over the board.

So, what will make them better, you ask?

How about cashing some player props on some of the nation's best players?

My top three Saturday college basketball player props feature some stars in great spots, so let's not waste any more time and dive into them.

Zach Edey Over 21.5 Points (-130)

The Purdue big man has gotten off to a torrid start, as he's been a dominant force around the rim. Edey comes into this matchup averaging 23.2 points and 13.3 rebounds per game.

Today, he has a favorable matchup against the Nebraska Cornhuskers (2:15 p.m. ET), who have struggled to protect the rim. The Cornhuskers have allowed opponents to shoot 64% on close 2s thus far, and they are 339th in block rate.

So, not only will Edey have a drastic size advantage, but he will face a pretty soft interior defense. Look for him to dominate the glass and create a boatload of opportunities for himself, which he should convert at a high rate.

Lastly, Edey has gone over this total in six of nine games played this season, and Rotowire has him projected for 23 points.

Marcus Sasser Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)

Houston's leading scorer will be a full go for this afternoon's matchup against Alabama (3 p.m. ET). Sasser left the Cougars' last game with an eye injury, but he confirmed that the eye is 100%.

That is excellent news, as Sasser has been one of the most efficient scorers in the country. He comes in averaging 16.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

Sasser's ability as a scorer has made him the focal point, both of his own offense and the opposing defense. He will have the ball in his hands a ton in this matchup, and he's shown already he's much more than a scorer.

He's recorded three or more assists in five games and has snagged five or more rebounds in three games. So, if he can be a factor in those categories, he has the potential to fly over this mark.

Sasser is projected to score 22.6 points in this matchup, which would put him at this total without contributing to any other categories.

Joe Girard III Over 2.5 3s Made (-140)

Now that Buddy Boeheim has left the Orange, Joe Girard III has begun to show his full skillset. His usage has ticked up significantly, but at his core, he's still a deadly sharpshooter.

Girard is averaging 7.6 3-point attempts this season and is making an average of 2.7 3s per game. While that is more than enough volume to go over this total, we may see his volume increase in this matchup.

Girard will face the Georgetown Hoyas today (1 p.m. ET), and they have been lit up from downtown early on this year. They have allowed their opponents to shoot 34% from beyond the arc, and nearly 40% of their points allowed have come off of 3s, which is the 15th-highest rate in the country.

Girard and the Orange should continue the 3-point barrage this afternoon.
