The first matchup of the Legends Classic on Thursday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn showcases a Big 12/Atlantic 10 matchup.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys take on the St. Bonaventure Bonnies for the first time ever, as the winner of this game will face the winner of Notre Dame/Auburn on Friday.

The Cowboys bounced back from a stunning home loss against Abilene Christian to beat Sam Houston State to even their record at 1-1.

The Bonnies also own a 1-1 record after losing to state-rival Canisius for a second straight season.

Here's Oklahoma State vs. St. Bonaventure odds and a prediction, including an NCAAB betting guide for Thursday, Nov. 16.

Oklahoma State Cowboys

Mike Boynton Jr. enters his seventh season in Stillwater owning three 20-win campaigns. However, Oklahoma State posted a winning record in Big 12 play only once during this span.

The Cowboys didn’t start out on a positive note this season, losing to Abilene Christian in the opener, 64-59, as 10.5-point home favorites.

Oklahoma State’s biggest lead in that game was 4-2, and then it was all ACU, as the Cowboys trailed by 11 points at the half and fell behind by as many as 18 points in the second half.

The Cowboys shot 5-of-23 from 3-point range and 8-of-20 from the free-throw line. Bryce Thompson was the lone bright spot with 19 points.

OSU rebounded in an 85-70 home triumph this past Sunday against Sam Houston State, which is moving up from the WAC to Conference USA this season. The Cowboys grabbed the cover as eight-point favorites, while knocking down 17 treys in the win.

Last season, the Cowboys posted a 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS record in neutral-site games.

St. Bonaventure Bonnies

The Bonnies finished the 2021-22 season with 23 victories and a Final Four appearance in the NIT. However, St. Bonaventure took a step back last season with a 14-18 mark and 8-10 record in the Atlantic 10.

This season, the two games for the Bonnies have been decided by a total of seven points, although they closed as 11.5-point favorites each time. The Bonnies squeezed past Longwood, 73-69, in the season opener. The Lancers shot 39% from the floor, including a 3-for-17 effort from 3-point range.

The Bonnies weren’t so fortunate in their next game, a 70-62 home defeat to Canisius, a rival whose campus is 80 miles away. It not only marked the second straight season that St. Bonaventure lost to this MAAC school, but the Bonnies couldn’t hold onto a nine-point lead early in the second half.

Canisius outscored St. Bonaventure 27-4 over a seven minute span to pull away. The Bonnies finished 4-of-20 from 3-point range.

Former Bryant standout Charles Pride has averaged 18.5 points per game this season and has pulled down 16 rebounds in two contests.

St. Bonaventure is currently in a 2-8 ATS slump since last February, including an 0-4 SU/ATS run in the underdog role.

After these two games in Brooklyn, the Bonnies should be able to clean up, as they have five matchups against teams currently ranked 274th or lower in KenPom.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Both teams have some questionable ATS numbers coming into this matchup, but the expectations on St. Bonaventure heading into this season may be a bit high.

Oklahoma State's loss to Abilene Christian doesn't look great after the Wildcats lost to Prairie View A&M at home on Tuesday.

It seems like there would be value on the Bonnies as an underdog following a pair of non-covers as a double-digit favorite. However, let's look at the Cowboys here as a favorite and play them up to -4.

Pick: Oklahoma State -2.5 (Play to -4)
