In an ACC Basketball Tournament dominated by favorites, it comes down to the Duke Blue Devils and Virginia Cavaliers for the title in Greensboro, NC.

Duke may have been the No. 4 seed, but the Blue Devils closed as 2- to 3-point favorites on Friday night against the Miami Hurricanes. Duke maintained control throughout an exciting game and now look to hang yet another ACC Tournament banner by defeating Virginia on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, head coach Tony Bennett and the Virginia Cavaliers continue to methodically go about their business. Virginia got the job done against North Carolina and Clemson, winning both games comfortably behind the Cavaliers' staunch defense.

In the only regular season meeting between these two teams, Virginia escaped at home in a game that was the subject of plenty of controversy.

Duke freshman Kyle Filipowski was fouled in a tie game as time expired, and the refs ruled that the foul occurred after the horn sounded. Filipowski should have been sent to the line for two free throws to win the game. Instead, Virginia sealed the victory in overtime.

While Duke may have revenge on its mind on Saturday night, I’m rolling with the 'Hoos to give Tony Bennett his third ACC Tournament Championship.

Virginia continues to be underrated nationally, despite its exceptional balance on both ends of the floor. Defense will always be the backbone of this team, but Armaan Franklin and Reece Beekman each have made huge strides on offense.

Kadin Shedrick and Francisco Caffaro will also play important roles in this matchup, as Virginia's primary counters to the size of the Blue Devils front court. Filipowski, Dereck Lively II and Mark Mitchell are all loads to deal with on the inside.

Duke has won eight consecutive games and has turned a corner since mid-February. One consistent factor throughout that winning streak has been its edge on the backboards.

Duke's most recent loss was the previously mentioned game in Charlottesville, VA. Facing a methodical offense like Virginia will be a different test than what Duke has seen during the last month. Despite opponents' attempts to speed up the Cavaliers, they continue to establish the pace on their terms.

Duke vs Virginia Betting Pick

This line just opened with Duke as a 2-point favorite, which endows plenty of value to the Cavaliers as a short underdog.

Virginia will be able to neutralize Duke on the offensive glass, and its methodical offense should generate plenty of open looks against a sometimes overly aggressive Duke defense.

Both fanbases will have plenty of representation in Greensboro, so I don’t grant any real home-court advantage to Duke despite the closer proximity from Durham, NC.

Ultimately, I think the wrong team is favored. Furthermore, Virginia has a great chance to win outright. I’ll gladly back the Cavaliers catching two in what should be a competitive, back-and-forth game.

The Duke winning streak started after Virginia, and it will also come to an end with Virginia.

Pick: Virginia +2 or Better
