The Sunshine Slam will soon have a champion, as the UAB Blazers will take on the Georgia Bulldogs for the crown.

Each of these teams dispatched their competition in the semifinals with well-rounded performances. However, there is quite a disparity between these two teams.

UAB is the class of the Conference USA, and this will be its opportunity to prove it can hang with a power-conference program. The Blazers have been impressive offensively in the early portion of this season, and it will be interesting to see if Jordan Walker and Co. can step up one more time.

As for the Bulldogs, their depth has been the key to their success. They run 10 deep and saw four players in double figures against Saint Joseph's.

That depth could be a significant edge, as this will be the first back-to-back for both of these teams.

While depth may keep the Bulldogs in the game, the schedule could impact the total.

UAB Blazers

When you scout the Blazers, you circle one name, "Jelly" Walker. The senior guard may not be the most imposing figure — he stands at just 5-foot-11 — but he makes up for it in talent.

Through four games this season, he's averaging 23.3 points per game while shooting 43% from the field.

However, what has made UAB one of the better offensive teams in the country thus far is the contributions it has gotten from the rest of its backcourt. The Blazers are far from a one-man show.

Ledarrius Brewer, KJ Buffen, Eric Gaines and Javian Davis are all averaging double figures in scoring, along with Walker.

The Blazers have utilized their multiple scoring options to create opportunities through excellent ball movement and pace. UAB is the fourth-fastest team in the country, averaging just 14.1 seconds per possession. But they are also 71st in assists per field goals made.

While the Blazers have proven to be formidable, the Bulldogs could stifle them for extended stretches. The Bulldogs will have a significant size advantage, especially in the backcourt.

Georgia's length has allowed it to step into passing lanes, and that's shown through its rank of 56th in steal percentage.

Georgia Bulldogs

UAB has gotten off to a great start offensively, but the same can't be said for Georgia. The Bulldogs enter this matchup ranked 294th in effective field goal percentage.

On top of the shooting struggles, they have also committed far too many turnovers. Georgia is 331st in turnover percentage thus far.

They certainly need to clean it up and get back on track, but it may be easier said than done against the Blazers. UAB is 65th in effective field goal percentage allowed and is even better than the Bulldogs in the steal department (33rd in steal rate).

Where Georgia can have success in this matchup is in the paint. We already talked about its size advantage, which will also factor in on the offensive glass.

The Blazers have allowed their oppositions to shoot 65% on close 2s this season, and the Bulldogs could have plenty of those opportunities as they get after it on the offensive glass.

UAB vs. Georgia Betting Pick

This is not a grueling tournament format like we'll see later in the year, but this is the first back-to-back for both clubs, and it will impact their legs in this one.

Both of these teams utilize their benches often, but if the starters are unable to get things going early, the scoring may hit a wall with how strong each team is defensively.

The Blazers are in for their toughest test of the season, as the Bulldogs are a complete contrast to their style.

That contrast and the energy will keep this game under the total.
