The San Francisco Giants look to extend their win streak to seven games as they get set for game two of their series vs. the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cardinals are 4-6 over their last 10 games, but they also just dropped a series at home to the Baltimore Orioles. They might just not like facing black and orange clad teams, as they can seem a little … spooky.

Dakota Hudson gets the ball for the Cards, and he'll be squaring off against an early success from the Giants' cheating lab, Jakob Junis. This is a repeat of the pitching match from last Friday's matchup in San Francisco that the Giants won 4-3.c

Giants Are Finally Healthy

For as hot as the Giants are, their return to health has been a driving force behind their success. Mike Yastrzemski is not only healthy again, but it seems he's returned to his 2019-2020 form that cemented him as a reliable regular in the Giants' lineup.

Additionally, Brandon Belt's presence on offense and defense lengthens the lineup and provides a boost in the field.

Junis will be making his second start of the season, and he's been pretty solid in his limited innings. He's thrown five innings in each of his appearances and went five strong in his first start of the season against the Cards last Sunday in San Francisco.

He's also going to be flanked by a bullpen that has experienced some tough luck over the past couple of weeks. Despite having a 2.91 FIP — good for sixth in MLB — the Giants' bullpen has a 6.44 ERA good for (or bad for) 28th in MLB over that same time frame.

Can Cards' Hudson Be Trusted?

Hudson gets the ball for the Cards, as they try to pull even in the series. Frankly, it's hard to back a guy named Dakota. He's going to break your heart. I know it.

Hudson does have a 2.70 ERA in 10 home innings, but his 5.02 FIP at home and 5.33 FIP overall is yet another red flag.

The Giants' offense has been rolling, and that was before the unit blew up in the late innings of game one of this series.

Additionally, in his last start, Hudson seemed hesitant to attack the Giants' hitters, as he walked four and struck out none over 4 2/3 innings.

On offense, the Cardinals are 19th in MLB in team wRC+ at home vs. RHP over the past few weeks. They seem to be in a little bit of a slump overall at the moment — even their bullpen struggled Friday night.

Giants-Cardinals Pick

The Giants seem to be on one of their inexplicably good runs — sparked by players like Luis Gonzalez and Austin Slater — but that's what they do.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals are not in a free fall, but they're definitely out of sorts at the moment.

Considering the Giants are slight underdogs — but are still in minus money — means this may be one of the better values you can get on the Giants at the moment.

If the Giants somehow move to plus money, that would be amazing. However, their moneyline should be taken to the -115 range.

Pick: Giants ML
