The Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights are set to meet for the second time in just four days. The Golden Knights got the best of the Oilers in the previous meeting, with a 4-3 overtime win on the road in Edmonton.

These two teams are competing for the Pacific division crown, but the Golden Knights have the five-point edge right now, so they are trying to protect the lead and give themselves more separation.

The Oilers will be playing the second leg of a back-to-back after a hard-fought game last night, while the Golden Knights have been soaring at home.

Can the Oilers steal two points on the road? Let's break down how to bet Oilers vs Golden Knights.

Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers had a bit of a scare Monday after they saw their 4-2 lead disappear in the third period. They were able to find a way to win thanks to a power play goal from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, but tonight they go into Vegas seeking revenge after losing at home to the Golden Knights on March 25th.

The Oilers have taken two of the first three meetings between these teams this season, but this contest might be a little more challenging on the second night of a back-to-back.

Jack Campbell played in the blue paint last night, which means we are more than likely to see Stuart Skinner get the nod tonight. In his past eight games, Skinner is 6-1-1 with a 3.11 goals against average and a .900 save percentage, his record has been much better than his numbers.

The Oilers are the best offensive team in the NHL, but this is going to be their third game in four nights so fatigue could be a factor.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights are starting to look like a real problem in the Western Conference. They are 8-2-0 in their past 10 games and have won nine of their past 11 games on home ice.

Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault have been on a tear in this previous 10 game span — Eichel has tallied four goals and six assists while Marchessault has added five goals and five assists.

Jonathan Quick continues to look outstanding in between the pipes since joining his new team, he is 5-1-0 with a .908 save percentage and a 2.93 goals against average in his time with the Golden Knights. Vegas ranks the 10th in the league in defensive proficiency, allowing 2.77 goals against per game.

The Golden Knights enter this game on a four-game winning streak and I like their chances to extend that to five.

Oilers vs. Golden Knights Pick

Every time these two teams have met this season the final score has been 4-3, two times in favor of the Oilers and once for Vegas, but two out of those three games have also gone to overtime.

This is certainly going to be a tightly contested game, but at the end of the day the team with fresher legs should be able to prevail. That team happens to be the Golden Knights and it also helps that they're currently soaring on home ice and in general.

This Vegas team is hot right now and they have a very good goaltender in Jonathan Quick back-stopping their already good defensive unit. I'm going to ride the hot hand and take the home underdog.

Pick: Golden Knights ML (+102)
