The Edmonton Oilers host the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night in a matchup of two teams playing hot hockey right now.

The Kraken might be the hottest team in all of hockey right now, even though their win streak ended at eight with their loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night.

The Oilers just finished up their west coast trip with three straight wins over the Ducks, Sharks and Golden Knights and they are looking to extend their own win streak.

Both teams have been playing some pretty strong hockey and the offense is clicking for each respective side, I think this game is going to have a ton of goals.

Seattle Kraken

The Kraken have been a huge surprise this season. Despite only scoring one goal against the Lightning, the Kraken have exploded offensively over their last 10 games, scoring a combined 44 goals in that span.

The offense has been very consistent all season long for Seattle, as they have the third-highest-scoring offense in the league, averaging 3.76 goals per game. They are the best offense at 5-on-5 in the NHL with a 3.34 GF/60.

Even though they have been scoring at will offensively, the Kraken's defense has struggled, allowing 3.07 goals against per game. Phillipp Grubauer started Monday night against the Lightning, so Martin Jones will likely be the man in the blue paint for Seattle in this one.

Jones has a phenomenal record of 21-5-3, but his numbers aren't all that impressive as he enters this game with a .895 save percentage and a 2.76 goals against average. He also allowed five goals on 27 shots in his last start against the Blackhawks.

The Kraken were able to hold the Oilers to only two goals in their last meeting, but it might be a little harder for them since this is the second game of a back-to-back.

Edmonton Oilers

Connor McDavid has been nothing short of outstanding this season. McDavid has 83 points this season, which is 15 points ahead of the second most, who happens to be his teammate, Leon Draisaitl, who has 68 points.

McDavid enters this game on a seven-game point streak, scoring five goals and tallying six assists. Draisaitl has four goals in his last three games.

During their three-game winning streak, the Oilers have combined for 17 goals and have only allowed five goals against.

The Oilers' defense and goaltending have been fine, but nothing outstanding. As a team, Edmonton is allowing 3.29 goals against, which is actually worse than its 3.19 xGA/60.

Stuart Skinner is the expected starter tonight and it appears that he has become the clear cut, number-one guy for Edmonton. He has put up some decent numbers, boasting a .914 save percentage and a 2.96 goals against average, but he certainly hasn't been dominant.

Kraken vs. Oilers Pick

There is a ton of goal-scoring between the Edmonton Oilers and the Seattle Kraken; they are both in the top five for highest-scoring teams in the league.

Both of their meetings this season have gone over and I have no reason to believe that won't happen again tonight.

Jones against Skinner isn't a goaltending matchup to write home about, but the Oilers, who have the league's best power play and two leading scorers, going up against the Kraken, who are the third-highest-scoring team in the league, is definitely the story of this game.

The over is 5-0 all-time between these two teams and I think it will get to 6-0.
