Action Network's proprietary betting algorithms have found value on two NHL games slated to face off on Tuesday night.
The algorithm assesses value based on rest, matchups, pedigree and more. This particular system only targets roughly 50 NHL games per year — two of them being Bruins vs. Senators (7 p.m. ET) and Avalanche vs. Coyotes (9 p.m. ET).
It's gone 548-300 (65%) since tracking data starting in 2005. A $500 bet per game would put a bettor up about $50,000 over that time frame if they had bet on every game this algorithm lights up for.
That's an annualized return on investment of roughly 12% per year.
We don't recommend using this betting algorithm as an alternative to investing — variance is much less forgiving in sports gambling compared to the financial markets — but similar principles apply in regard to profits over a long time horizon.
