Someone is quite confident that the Kansas City Chiefs will travel to New Orleans to play in their third consecutive Super Bowl.
Caesars Sportsbook confirmed to VegasInsider's Patrick Everson that a bettor placed a $1.3 million wager on the Chiefs moneyline (-130) for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills. The bet was placed on Monday.
It could be the same person who placed a $1.45 million wager on the Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, and another million on them to beat the Atlanta Falcons back in Week 3. Or, it could also be someone else.
Nonetheless, the Chiefs moneyline has been incredibly profitable during their chase for a historic three-peat.
Kansas City is 16-2 SU this season, including a Week 18 loss in Denver in which several starters took the week off. However, the Chiefs are just 8-10 ATS.
The spread at most sportsbooks for this weekend's AFC Championship game currently sits at KC -1.5 or -2. This bettor, despite the low spread, isn't taking any chances as the upcoming tilt between Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes is sure to be a close one.
