Continued anti-Coastal Carolina sentiment. Their offense does not have any redeeming qualities and they can’t tackle well. Not deterred by the ULM performance last week. They are focused on league play and I expect a slow burning low scoring win. 23-13 type game.

Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks Football 2024

The Louisiana–Monroe Warhawks football team represents the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Competing in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as part of the Sun Belt Conference, they play home games at Malone Stadium in Monroe, Louisiana. They were formerly known as the Northeast Louisiana Indians, but the nickname was changed to Warhawks in 2006.

The team moved to Division I-A (now FBS) in 1994 and played in their first FBS bowl game, the Independence Bowl, in 2012, losing to the Ohio Bobcats. As of the information provided, their current 13-year bowl game drought is the longest among all NCAA Division I FBS teams.

Here's how you can bet on Louisiana-Monroe this season, and some key things to know.

Betting on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks

Louisiana-Monroe Point Spreads

Point spreads are a popular bet one can make on either team in a college football game and are based on the margin of victory for the winning team.

A Louisiana-Monroe spread might look like this:

  • UL Monroe +3.5 (-110)
  • Arkansas State -3.5 (-110)

A 31-28 loss for Louisiana-Monroe is still a win for spread bettors since the three-point margin of defeat is less than the 3.5-point spread. Spread tickets on the Warhawks would cash with any loss of three or fewer points, or an outright win.

Louisiana-Monroe Over/Unders

Over/unders, or totals, are bets on the number of points scored in the game.

Louisiana-Monroe Moneylines

While spread bets depend on the amount of the victory, moneyline bets are a bit simpler, as all that matters is which team wins. Let's look at an example:

  • UL Monroe -160
  • App State +180

The minus (-) and plus (+) signs distinguish the favorite from the underdog, making Louisiana-Monroe the favorite in this scenario. Odds can be understood more clearly if you think in terms of $100 increments. A wager on the Warhawks odds would mean every $160 bet nets $100. And it's the opposite for underdogs: Here, the App State moneyline was set at +180, meaning a $100 wager would profit $180.

Moneylines are also commonly used when making parlays, which are multiple bets tied into one. Let’s say you bet on Louisiana-Monroe's moneyline and the Over, both bets would need to win for that parlay to be successful. The risk may be greater, but so is the reward with increased odds. Use our Odds Calculator to calculate any bet amount or conversion.

Louisiana-Monroe Props

Player props are bets on how much of a specific statistic a player will accumulate.

For example, you could bet on how many touchdown passes a player will throw in a game or bet over or under on another player's rushing yards. Many skill position players (and some defenders) will have a variety of props available to bet each game.

FAQ: Here’s how prop betting works

Louisiana-Monroe Futures

Futures are somewhat similar to prop bets in the way both are monitored over the course of a season. However, most future bets are focused on end of season success. Examples of futures are:

  • Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks odds to win the Sun Belt
  • Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks odds to reach the College Football Playoff

If you think the Warhawks can win the Sun Belt this season, this is the bet to make. These types of bets are called futures, and they're just wagers on things that settle at the end of the year. For a full list of college football futures, click or tap here.
