Toledo vs. Michigan St Odds & Betting Predictions - September 5, 2026

There is actually a little bit to like here with MSU as Millivojevic is back at QB, cam Edwards comes in at RB, tight end room/OL looks athletic and have good size. Defense has some nice pieces coming in via the transfer portal. Secondary looks good. DC and STC hires are solid. Toledo will be okay in the MAC but I do worry about them in this first game. I don’t love John Allen at QB for Toledo and the Mercer flavor does lead me to believe this is going to take some time to get going. Toledo is going to be a darling dog in week 1 and their prior performances against p4 warrants the respect, but this is a completely different team. Thrashed LY (Mercer was) by auburn and Univ. of Sou Dakota (FCS Playoffs) I think Michigan State is significantly better equipped in the trenches and they will win this game by two or three touchdowns
