Without Toppin’s dominant presence in the paint, the Red Raiders must lean even more heavily on their perimeter shooting and the playmaking of Anderson and LeJuan Watts.

While bracketology still projects them as a high seed—likely a 4-seed—their defensive consistency and lack of interior depth remain significant concerns. They remain a "boom-or-bust" candidate for the tournament: capable of shooting their way to a deep run, but vulnerable to physical teams that can exploit their weakened frontcourt.
